A&P Development and Construction clean room/controlled environment experience
A&P and its principals have extensive experience in constructing and modifying “clean rooms” – and other controlled environments. The facilities have included computer and telecom rooms, and also laboratory and manufacturing facilities.
One of A&P’s more recent clean room projects included the design and construction of a production facility for a large optic lens manufacturer. The 7,500 square foot clean room encompassed an entire production line and strict environmental/air-handling controls were needed to insure quality control of the finished product. The project was completed on time and on budget. Special features included in this project included complete user control over humidity levels, and A&P also installed process piping for compressed air, nitrogen, chilled water supply and return. The facility also had controlled entry and exit to the room (man-trap/gowning area).
The completed value of this project was in excess of $475,000.
A&P’s principals also completed many clean rooms for defense industry manufacturers in Southern California. A representative project was a clean room for General Dynamics of approximately 2,000 square feet, total value of approximately $300,000. This facility was used primarily in the production of aircraft parts.
